Our HERITAGE block in the SA mallee area between Sedan and Swan Reach is for sale.
Go here to see details and photos. Despite what the “realestate.com.au” site says, it is NOT “residential” land. It cannot have a house built on it.
A colony of the rare Hairy Nose Wombat live on the block.
We have greatly enjoyed the use of this wonderful block of land as my wife calls it “Our Bolt Hole”. I have no idea what that means but that is what she calls it.
The Block is only 15-20 min from the Murray river and 1.5 hours from Adelaide. The Barossa Valley is also just 30 min away. And the meals in the country pub in Sedan (15min) are great.
While you are not allowed without Minister approval to build a PERMANENT structure on the block, it is a fabulous spot to be totally remote from the hustle and bustle. Setting up an on-site caravan or the like, is the ideal way to go.
We simply set up camp each time we went over.
It would be preferable that you owned a 4WD to access the block.
Our reason for selling the block after 8 years of ownership is that since Chris’ mum who resided in Adelaide has passed away, there is less reason for us to visit SA.
